Jerry Singh is the Managing Partner of Category Management Inc, a Consulting and Software company based in the United States and India, 2001-present. Prior to this, he was Director, the Center for Retail Management, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, 2000-2001; Managing Partner, The Partnering Group (TPG), 1993-2000; and a senior Executive at Procter & Gamble, 1971-1993.

During his P&G career, Jerry served as Director and CIO for P&G Japan, as well as Associate Director, Comptroller’s Division; Brand Manager, Food Products Marketing; Section Head, Bar Soap & Household Cleaning Products and Food Product Development for P&G USA.

Jerry has consulted with leading consumer products retailers, manufacturers, and information technology & marketing services companies world-wide. These include: Safeway, Vons, Wakefern, Winn-Dixie, Ahold, Rite Aid, Sears, Sainsbury (U.K.), Pick’n Pay (South Africa), Sonae (Portugal), Jeronimo Martins (Portugal); Nestle, Ralston Purina, James River, Pillsbury, Sara Lee, Clorox, Ross Products, Pennzoil, Johnson Controls, Lever Ponds (Canada), United Distillers (U.K.), Heineken (Netherlands), IBM, NCR, etc.

He also led the development of "The Category Manager" software jointly with IRI, and implementation of custom systems solutions for several clients.

Jerry is the author of many articles on Category Management and Information Technology, and a co-author of the ECR (Efficient Consumer Response) Europe Category Management Best Practices Report and Next Generation Category Management.
